Lucia Aretakis
Coach/Personal Trainer
she/her/hers
Lucia is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She has been working as a personal trainer ever since and has loved every second of it. The continuing education she has invested in has helped build on her knowledge of the body and how to effectively and efficiently increase mobility while building strength in her clients. In addition to working with her 1:1 clients, Lucia leads group classes and barbell classes, including women’s barbell. She creates an empowering atmosphere for women to lift in, where she strives for them to feel safe, strong, and confident as they progress the squat, bench, and deadlift. It has been incredibly rewarding to see her clients excel in a lifting style traditionally geared toward men, as she focuses on making strength training more approachable and empowering for women.
Lucia is a Maine native, originally from a small ocean town near Eastport, ME. Growing up in such a rural area, she has always found herself at peace in nature. When she’s not in the gym coaching or lifting, you can find her fishing in the brook behind her house, working in the garden, or hiking with her fiancé Rusty and their rescue german shepherd, Hera!
